| Summary | 0000195: Hornet: HUD missing indicator for auto-throttle | ||||
| Description | The HUD in BMS has a few F18-specific features.. but it's missing an indicator for ATC. I don't know what that should look like, but RL docs refer to it .. and that it should flash for a few seconds when disengaging. Arguably this is a feature-request not a bug, but if the feature is "auto-throttle" then this is a pretty important aspect that's missing. (Without it, I have fallen from the sky without understanding why, several times.) If not fixable as a code-bug, maybe consider a doc-bug to expand on the cases where ATC disengages or refuses to engage (esp. the flap-angle < 27° condition when flaps=Half). But hopefully it's an easy fix/add considering there are other HUD elements specific to F18. | ||||

| I believe the indicator is "ATC" in all caps, in lower-right corner of HUD. For approach-mode, it's "ATC APR" | |
