| Summary | 0000188: Enable Maximum-Allowed USB Device Buttons | ||||
| Description | To alleviate and/or eliminate the requirement for 3rd-party key-mapping applications for basic to complex BMS hardware configurations, enable direct support within BMS future versions to support more than 32 buttons per USB device. Based on some references, the maximum allowed could be as high as 128 buttons. This feature would support HOTAS as well as other switchology throughout the cockpit and myriad panels. Propose this be the BMS target to simplify future configurations, making the simulation more extensible, flexible, and plug-and-play for legacy, heritage, and future peripheral simulation devices. This will increase adoption through ease-of-use, usability, and simplicity of this most advanced F-16 simulation. I have purposely made this as generic as possible, couching it more as a feature request than a bug. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Whenever I try to map more than 32 buttons per USB device. | ||||

| Not saying "no" but to set expectations. There isn't anyone working on this area of the code right now so that makes this tough. Further, since there are myriad workarounds for the concern (as referenced above) the priority on this one is likely to remain pretty low for the team. Someone _might_ get inspired to work on it but...well, just don't hold your breath is my advice. | |
