Summary0000037: Airframes become white even outside of cloud
DescriptionIn a certain poor weather condition, F-16 airframes beyond 2nm become unrealistically white even outside of cloud and high altitude.
It makes mutual visual support completely impossible if the background is a white cloud layer.

Example images and videos:
2021-01-09_161609.png
Comp 1_1.mp4
Steps To Reproduce1. Start TE: dca_4Vx_medium
2. Select 0000002 of DCA
3. Open WEATHER CONTROL window
4. Load '2021_1_9" fmap then SAVE WTH.
5. TAKEOFF
6. Kick out beyond 2nm from the flight and you will see them becoming white

I found out aircraft becomes a white silhouette outside of a "visibility" range set by FMAP (You can check the numbers with WeatherCommander Visibility Tab).
Now I believe it becomes white on purpose to represent the visibility range.
It makes sense below and under cloud layers, but things become unrealistic above clouds.
However, the problem is they become white even you climb above cloud layers.
The far beyond planes look unrealistically white and you can't see them if their altitude is lower than you as the white cloud layer is the background of white planes and they are the exact same color.
They should be visible in RL same situation, but impossible to visualize in BMS 4.35

This is due to visibility setting

FOG makes the aircraft going white

I mistakenly posted 0000095 as anonymous.

Hi, Mav.
I now understand it is for visibility representation for the deep fog situation.
However, this 'FOG' seems to exist up to 50,000ft.
Is there a possibility of updating it to be turned off when we go higher altitude above the clouds?

Mav, would the fix be in U2? We can add 4.35 U2 as a target version if that would help.

@mav-jp Ive added a "dev version" to the list of versions for the tracker. Do you know if this issue will be in U2? If its fixed in the dev version and its not known when that fix will be in a public version, we can mark this as "resolved", and set it as "fixed in dev version".
