DeeJay, perhaps Chihirobelmo's fix above could be useful as a data fix?

Either way, if you'd prefer you could edit the issue priority to "low" to indicate the teams priorities.

It's not an F-16, I understand. So why integrate buggy and flyable f-18s into an f-16 simu ? Might as well remove the F18s and leave only the f16 models. It will be less work for the dev.
"Falcon BMS is an F16 simulator, not a F18 simulator" ;-)
Otherwise, as the anonymous person says, just integrate the .dat file in the next update. The work is already done.

Im sure it wasnt your intent, oz, but your comment comes across a little snarky. I totally understand why you might have concerns on this topic, and Im sure you realise that on a text-only communication, its hard to communicate totally effectively without tone of voice, facial expressions, and so on.

I ask only that we all try to take an effort to communicate clearly, and stick to documenting issues with the sim, and offering constructive feedback on how to improve it - which at the end of the day, is what Im sure we all want.

Thanks for your efforts in trying to help improve BMS.

Hello,
Indeed, I do not feel any anger in my sentences. It was a real question about other aircraft than the F16. Then, I give the solution which seems to me rather simple to set up; as you had suggested it.
I have a lot of respect for the BMS team and it would not occur to me to have snarky words towards your team who breaks their head in your free time to offer us such a beautiful simulator.
It happens from time to time that we design missions with growlers and every time I get screwed on the cockpit. -)

Hi!

Let me give you a short answer to your question ...

F-18 is a legacy of previous development. The guys who worked on the F-18 are gone, the one left have already too much work on other area.

So two possible options:
- We suppress the F-18 cockpit entirely.
- We keep it as it is and if someday, some ppl in the team with proper (3D/Data/code ... etc ...) knowledge and desire like to fix/enhance/continue the development, they will be free to proceed based on what is existing.

And here is my personal POV: IF it was ONLY me, IF I had to decide, and especially considering the remarks/comments like above (which are somehow relevant BTW!), I would simply remove the F-18 and focus on the F-16 only.
There is enough work for the next ten years on that single aircraft (+ all other aspects of the sim).
