Can you reproduce the issue with a stock install?

Can you describe the issue more clearly? The menu loads correctly, but when you try to go to 3d, the game crashes? Is that correct?

It's possible to reproduce it with a stock install and I followed the Janhas install instructions, uninstalling the default hi res DDS files with the janhas skin DDS files and replacing the default KoreaObj.hdr and KoreaObj.LOD and putting a new KoreaObj.TEX file with the ones from the newly made database which contains the janhas models and replacing the default DAT files with the ones from the Janhas model folders . The menu does not open with the game's menu and after a few seconds disappears with the only sign of the start up being a black screen with the falcon bms title.

oh sorry what I mean is that stock install the game works fine and launches correctly but with the janhas installed it does not launch

Sounds like the issue is with the mod install rather than BMS. As this is a bug tracker for BMS, and not a support forum for JanHas, I politely suggest trying on a fresh install with the instructions here: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?40926-Jan-Has-F-16-LV5-Update-packs

If that doesnt work, your next best bet is to post in that thread and ask for support there.

Closing as the issue does not contain a defect in BMS.
